We do not yet have a due date from SouthWestern Bell. We are also actively searching for options to provide you with 56k access. This process could take several months of negotiations with equipment manufacturers and Southwestern Bell. Dedicated, real-world IP addresses are coming to Anthony, Harper and Attica as soon as the ATM project is complete. These IPs are needed to use some popular video conferencing, internet answering services and some internet web sites. Without the upgrade we would be unable to put real-world IP addresses on our modem pool. Thanks for everyone's patience. ANTHONY/HARPER: We have completed bandwidth upgrades in your areas! SWBell has completed upgrades to their facilities and more lines have been added to meet demand. We now have Frac/T1 in Harper and Anthony and the system responds much quicker downloading email and surfing. The 56k project is completed and most of our customers are negotiating a dial up connection with no problems. If you are experiencing trouble with the new servers, please call 1-800-701-9311. Anthony/Harper: We now have a total of 113 dial up lines in Harper County!!! This is a 4.65:1 customer per modem ratio. The national standard is 8:1/10:1.
